Ahhh, it’s so nice to come back from a great weekend. And the start of the week isn’t looking to bad, well weather-wise it isn’t. Work-wise,  trying not to let it get to me. Saturday was spend running around in Seattle, literally. Well, just the morning that was!

Rodarte + Starbucks

Talk about a total impulse buy this morning. While waiting at my favorite Starbucks (lady in front of me ordered like 5 different, very complex drinks and there was only one barista), I saw the Rodarte stand. Had to have it. I mean it, well sort of. I mean when is it that I can actually afford an Rodarte.

Inaugural Refuse to Abuse® 5K at Safeco Field

Last Saturday was my second official 5K race in Seattle. This time I ran the Refuse to Abuse 5K fun run at Safeco Field. It was so much fun and it was pack. Actually, it had completely sold out weeks before the run! And everyone who participated helped raise over $18,000 for Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence programs!

Overnight Packing

I’m currently trying to pack for my overnight stay in Bothell/Lynnwood area tomorrow night. Is it me, or does it feel even hard to pack for a one night stay than it is to pack for a week long trip? So far I’ve got the dress I think I’m going to wear to the wedding, the shoes (my Steve Madden Glatior Wedges, Mariko Ankle Strap Wedges and Forever21 strappy flat sandels), but I’m still working out what I’m going to be wearing during the day. I have so many clothes…

I’m also trying to plan out my trip down there since I want to do a bit of shopping and get in a run this weekend. This week has been a really lax week in running so I want to get some miles in before my 2nd 5k run next Saturday.

I decided on this black maxi dress I brought last year, but I’m still not sold on it for the wedding. Think I’m going to hit the mall first before checking in my hotel. I’m staying at the Hilton Garden Inn again in Bothell. It is a super nice place to stay at and it is really close to where Amy and Cale are having their wedding. I’m super excited for the next couple of weekends! A lot of road trips!!

Memorial Day BBQ Look

Memorial Day BBQ
The weekend is almost here… well, okay, we’ve got another three days left of the workweek, but it’s near! And my three day weekend requires a lot of traveling: heading down to Portland to help with my sister’s move and to play, then back up to Seattle for my girl, Shelb’s and her husband’s Memorial Day/Housewarming BBQ Party. I’m so glad I was able to book a hotel near her place, so that I wouldn’t have to drive all the way back home to the island.
My main mission today, find a nice summer/spring dressy look for Shelb’s party. At lot of friends are going to be there, but also her parents (who I love) and her husband’s (whom I’ve only met once, at their wedding). So I need a outfit that’s modest (somewhat) but will still show off my rockin’ arms I’ve worked so hard on! I really love this maxi dress in the bright red, so festive and colorful and one of my favorite colors!
So, how’s your holiday weekend looking?

Yummy: Tokyo Sweets

So while I was down in Seattle on Sunday, I stopped by in the outdoor U-Village just behind the University. My main mission was to pick up Holly and I’s running packet at the Microsoft store. But it also has an H&M, Madewell, and several other stores I love! When I notice that the Barnes & Nobel was no longer there, I decided to check out what other shops were open. That is on the other side of the (outdoor) mall!

And then I saw this place: Tokyo Sweets! And since I haven’t had lunch yet, I made a choice to treat myself instead to a crepe! You could build you own crepe or choose for one of their creation. And if you didn’t want a crepe, you can just order a soft served ice cream!

This is what I ordered: Strawberries & Creme. It was so yummy! I had to take pictures and send it off to my sister since there is another crepe shop at another mall that we wanted to try, but already had lunch reservations. (She was so jealous!!) That one is for next trip!

Saturday Shorts

The weekend was great! I really needed a week like this for a while. I woke up super early on Saturday and despite the party sunny weather, I got in a 4.25 mile run! It was excellent and I think I’m starting to get addicted to running outdoors.

When I finally got back home, the sun was fully out and it was starting to warm up. I decided to needed to break out my shorts from last year, and much to my surprise most of them don’t fit anymore. These are the only one that wouldn’t fall down even with a slight tug. Which mean I’ve got to go short shopping next month….

Steve Madden Gladiator Wedges; L.E.I. Shorts; StyleMint Miller T; Earring handmade from my Auntie Alice

Sunday was just as good with the exception of no sun (but nice and warm) and having to make an early unwanted stop for my mother. Don’t have plans of every doing that again. I love going down to Seattle. I get to see my friends and do thing I want to do. I did a little shopping… mainly just playing around the city!

2012 Fight for Air 3K Run/Walk

I’ve sign up (well, me and my friend Holly) for our first 3K Run/Walk. 2012 Fight for Air Run/Walk supports the American Lung Association which is super important to me since I was diagnose as a teen with Exercise-induced Asthma.  Since I know I won’t be able to reach a high goal (I just signed up, so I have only less than a month to receive donation), I set my goal to be $100. So if you can donate, please and thank you. Please click here to Donate.

If can’t donate, please support the cause! I’ll try to post updates before and after the run. Gotta get ready!!
