Nailed It // Studded Out

I finally gave myself some time this weekend to do my nails. The last couple of time I painted them, it was just a quick color. But Sunday, during my lazy afternoon after coming back from the island, I decorated my nails using my new nail Ciaté studs that I got from the BFF in my late Christmas gift. I’ll post what I got soon, I promise!

However I found out that my black nail polish completely dried out. So I ended up using my Nail Inc in Chelsea since it such a dark color, it almost looks black. You can barely tell!

Another shot! This time with my rings! Whoo, getting back into nail polish!

Nail Polish & Gear I used: RGB in #0906 Doll, Nails Inc. London #381 Chelsea, Salon Perfect Nail Art #801 Black Ink, & Ciaté Studs

It’s early, I know. But I’ve been up since about 4, and don’t need to be at work till about 7 (which by the way, my office, only 3 minutes away, so I’m not in a total rush!)

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nails

So this weekend I also finally tried the Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color I got with my Summer Influenster package (see post Here)!

“Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color: $9.99: NEW! Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color is summer’s hottest nail trend that allows you to create a gorgeous 1-D nail art effect in just seconds! This unique formula was specially developed with metallic particles – just hold the built-in magnet over wet polish to reveal a unique design on the nail.”

First Coat after base.

This stuff is so cool! And the color they sent me is just my taste!

This is just the start of my second coat. So, once you let the first coast dry, paint on the second coat and hold the magnet the is in the large cap over each nail you finish.

So I’m nearly done! So the thumb looks very plain while the other fingers have those great designs. I think the next time I do my nails with this stuff, I’m going to see if I can hold the magnet is a different direction and if that will give me a different look. I totally love this stuff! Made getting my nails done for the wedding easy and fun!

Happy Monday

This weekend was for Dad, and as a gift for dad, both parental unit left me to my own devices (and Microsoft Office 2101 for Home and Business for Dad)! Which is excellent! Usually, its just dad leaving me to do my own “thang” and my mother harping on me to help her in “her” garden. Something I much rather not do…

I got a lot of workout done: kickboxing, 4+ mile run, a little weight-lifting. I cooked most of Sunday when they went off to Costco. Mom thought that they’ll be out for at least two hours. No, make that about four, which was nice. I got all of Father’s Day cooking done, put in another 40 minutes of workout in-between waiting and read a chapter or two. I even had enough time to do my nails! Don’t they look awesome! I took some inspiration from Refinery 29 post: 3 Rad Spring-Inspired Nail-Art Designs. The only change I did was the line the edges in silver, it hides the fact that edges weren’t straight.

Purple, Pink & Black

Usually I don’t really have much time to do my nails on Sunday night, but the last couple of weeks I have been able to do really simple designs. This Sunday I went easy using my favorite crackle nail polish to create my nails.

I layered OPI Purple With A Purpose, then alternate between one to two large stripes of NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamal in Pink Promenade Crème down the middle of the nail, and finished up with the black crackle, Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Black.

But like the dork I am, I’ve already chipped the polish on my left thumb…. Think I’m going to fix it later tonight.
