I’ve been working very hard the last couple of week on my half-marathon training. Last Saturday I ran my 9 miles around Coupeville and have decided that my town really need less hills. It wasn’t that it was hard going up them. That was fine. It’s more of the downhills that I’m not liking. Anyone else feel that way, or is it just me?

Ski to Sea

As I posted yesterday, I was up in Bellingham mainly for Ski-to-Sea Relay Event. They’ve been having this event since 1977, but back then the relay was opposite of what it is today. Instead of coming down the mountain, apparently they went up it. Crazy fools!

Hope everyone had a great long weekend. I spent it up in Mt. Vernon at my girl, Holly’s place. Nice long weekend away from the parental-unit is always nice. It was also the same weekend for Ski-to-Sea in Bellingham. Holly was suppose to do the downhill running leg, but due to developing runner’s knees from our last run, she stepped out.

Birthday Weekend

So birthday weekend was good. Nothing too exciting since my parents really never want to do anything grand for our birthdays. Since I knew they weren’t going to make it special or at least something that I would enjoy, I planned out a great day of playing with the mutt, having Asian buffet with friends and then a hike up near the fort!

Runnin’ Green

So this weekend was fun and eventful, but now I’m so super tired. Since it was after all, St. Patrick’s Day weekend! My girl Holly registered me to run a 5K up in Bellingham in the “Runnin’ O’ the Green.” Holly was suppose to run with me, but she over exerted herself and she now has shin splints.
