Dior…

With a little research, I do believe this is a circa 1970′s Vintage Christian Dior Monogram Handbag. I think… Isn’t this bag great. I love this garage sale find along with my wicker Fossil Shoulder Bag. Also, what makes this find even better, I got it for 50¢. Yeah, 50¢. The local Lions Club does this garage sale fundraiser every year, but this time I scored! The Fossil bag is huge and is going to be great for Hawaii, while I’m going to try to clean the Dior bag a bit and use it for special occasion or whenever I feel it’s a special occasion! My weekend is going great!

Did anyone else hit up your local garage sales? The season just started, so I know I’m going to be hitting up more places once the weather starts warming up!

Going Natural

So, after a couple of month of going back and forth, I’ve decided make the transition from relaxed hair to natural, well sort of. ‘Cause I’m also of thinking of lightening my dark brown/almost black hair to a lighter brown or a reddish-brown color. Since I haven’t relaxed my hair for over year now, I think it’s a good time to start. I have been flat ironing it almost everyday. I would love to have hair like the girl in the sunglasses or the bottom right, but I’m hoping it at least can turn out like the middle bottom style since my hair is pretty short now.

I definitely plan on getting my hair lighten at my favorite salon down in Seattle, hopefully in July. My aim is to try to get it done before Amy’s Wedding. It will be a complete surprise for most of my friends since I’ve only discussed it with like four of them: BFF, Holly, my sister & Con-rad!

I need to do a little research on the transition, but does anyone have any tips on helping make this transition? Any products I should consider?

Bachelorette Weekend

This weekend was the first time for over a month since I was in the Seattle and surrounding area! And it was also my girl, Amy’s Bachlorette Slumber Party Weekend! She really didn’t want to (or is even the type) to have one of those dress up and head out type of party. It was “let’s stay at home, drink wine, watch movies, play games and gossip kind of night!” So much fun!!

We had a lot of drinks! A lot. Tons of wine, Amy had some pineapple soaking in liquor to make fruity drinks and lots of yummy snacks! It was a great way to start the summer in the PNW even though the sun didn’t come out till later Saturday evening.

Poor Jimi, only boy left at the house.

Yours truly enjoying party favor/hat in her own style.

We took Jimi out for the third-time that day. We saw this on one of the trees in town!

Maria is trying to figure out how to act something…. playing Cranium!

DIY Arm Party

One of things I love to do in my free time is make jewelry for friends and family! And this year, I’m on a bracelet kick. I’ve been getting several supplies ready for a weekend of jewelry making in July! I love finding new projects and a friend sent me a link to Craft Gawker. It’s like pinterest, but just for craft projects! I found some new bracelet projects to try!!! Yay!

Here are a couple that I’m definitely trying:

Utility Cord Bangle

Shirt into Bracelet

☩DIY☩ Dannijo Friendship Bracelet

And Not quite a bracelet, but still awesome. Definietly making this for xmas present for the girls!

Wrap Watch

…What DIY projects are you planning to do this summer?

Put a Ring on it!!

Summer weather is still lacking here in on the island and the Pacific Northwest. But it doesn’t mean that summer is coming.  Finger-crossed for sunny skies this weekend, I’ve got a bachlorette party happening down in Seattle!

For me, summer means trading my gloves for rings! Currently I’m on a gold-rush obsession!

The bigger, brighter, bolder the ring is, the better and the more I want them!!

I’ve been wearing my knuckle Owl ring that I got from my BFF for the last week or so! I get lots of comments one it when I’m watching the front counter!

Happy Monday

This weekend was for Dad, and as a gift for dad, both parental unit left me to my own devices (and Microsoft Office 2101 for Home and Business for Dad)! Which is excellent! Usually, its just dad leaving me to do my own “thang” and my mother harping on me to help her in “her” garden. Something I much rather not do…

I got a lot of workout done: kickboxing, 4+ mile run, a little weight-lifting. I cooked most of Sunday when they went off to Costco. Mom thought that they’ll be out for at least two hours. No, make that about four, which was nice. I got all of Father’s Day cooking done, put in another 40 minutes of workout in-between waiting and read a chapter or two. I even had enough time to do my nails! Don’t they look awesome! I took some inspiration from Refinery 29 post: 3 Rad Spring-Inspired Nail-Art Designs. The only change I did was the line the edges in silver, it hides the fact that edges weren’t straight.

Quickie

Just a quick photo post! Work today, well, was a struggle to not tell everyone to shut-the-F**k-up! All day was “complain about this”, “complain about that.” All I really wanted to do is work quietly, is that too much to ask for? Hope everyone else had a better day…

And thanks for letting me vent, I feel better now!
